1 out of 5 stars Not near what was expected   September 4, 2010
Consumer
I was excited to get in time to trim before my city's scheduled bulk trash pickup. Received in a box that was taped together and looks like it may have been a refurbished unit. I decided to try it anyhow. The automatic oiler does not work, and it can barely cut through a 1 inch branch without blowing smoke everywhere and slowing to a stop . At this point I feel it was a wast of money and I would not recommend.

5 out of 5 stars Worked as expected...   August 6, 2010

Everything worked as expected. The oiling system seemed to be on the light side so I increased the size of the hole dispensing the oil to the chain. Over all it seems to be a great product...

5 out of 5 stars A Great Power tool at a great price.   July 24, 2010

First off ....I bought this item 2 days ago and received it today that is what I call lightning fast.

Now.... I paid 75.00 for a piece of equipment that does everything it says and then some.....this little monster can go trough 8" branches no problem.....it is simply amazing and super easy to assemble.......keep it oiled tough since it does take some every 30 minutes of use..quite normal for any pole saw.

The price the value and if you pay attention in the assembly (chain direction) this will be a good investment.....it is top heavy but any other electric pole saw is believe me....

4 out of 5 stars Right choice!   July 21, 2010

I looked at all the other saws at HD, Lowe's, etc. Got this based on description and price, unseen. I think I made the right choice. The saw works as described...except Amazon needs to correct the description: this saw doesn't have auto chain tension, but the instructions explain clearly how to adjust tension. (Less one star for incorrect description.)

Other reviewers are correct too, the rest of the manual isn't very good but fortunately it is easy to assemble. Like almost every other pole saw, it's a bit unwieldy and top heavy. But it's manageable and cuts well. Be sure to read how to cut large limbs (with two cuts, bottom first, then down from the top) to avoid stripping the bark. Ready and waiting for fall after the leaves drop to really trim back some trees!

2 out of 5 stars Pistol grip not a good idea   July 17, 2010

Everything works in this saw like it claims but the drawback is the pistol grip. It puts a strain on your wrists. I would return it if I could. Straight grip is better.
